Benefits of SIPit-BIO

A new generation of PU foams is emerging.

Polyurethane has always been a high‑performance insulation material: low thermal conductivity, excellent dimensional stability, and strong compatibility with SIP manufacturing. What’s changing is the carbon source behind the chemistry. Instead of relying solely on fossil‑derived polyols, manufacturers can now incorporate renewable, bio‑based polyols produced from plant oils, agricultural by‑products, and circular waste streams.

This shift doesn’t alter the core performance of PU — it changes the origin of the carbon embedded in the polymer.
