SIPit-FR + Eco Cork
1hr Fire Resistant SIP with a breathable cork render
Taking the SIPit-FR panel to a new level, and simplifying construction.
Building with a SIPit-FR panel simplifies the construction of a fire rated wall. By applying the breathable Cork render finish directly to the outside of the SIP panel simplifies the construction even more.

Scroll Down
The SIPit-FR panel is a 1hr fire rated SIP panel designed to streamline construction and improve quality of build. Combining this with a spray on breathable cork render further reduces installation times, reduces the wall build up, saves cost and creates a carbon neutral building, that omits thermal bridging, and creates a healthy internal environment. What's not to love!
Why Cork render
-
The cork is fire rated, and complements the SIPit-FR
-
Cork is Breathable so no ventilated cavity required
-
No Cavity, no strapping, no cavity fire barriers
-
Significant cost savings
-
Smaller wall build up, so faster to install
-
Easier to install
-
A Sustainable building solution

Fire resistance System
The external skin of the SIPit-FR is a non-combustible finish.
The SIPit‑FR + Eco Cork Render System combines our fire‑resistant SIP panel with a breathable, water‑repellent cork coating to create a high‑performance external envelope suitable for modular, residential, and commercial applications.
Eco Cork (Isolocork Filler) provides a flexible, coloured‑through protective layer that enhances durability, improves thermal continuity, and supports compliant fire‑safe design.

-
SIPit-FR has non-combustible outer face
-
SIPit-FR is certified 1 hr fire rated
-
Cork coating does not propagate flame
-
Produces no toxic smoke
-
Suitable for internal and external use within compliant system designs
Cork

The cork spray render is breathable and water-repellent, allowing rain shedding while enabling moisture vapour to escape, reducing the risk of trapped damp. When applied as part of a continuous system, it helps reduce thermal bridging and supports more even thermal performance across the building envelope.

Isolocork Filler is coloured-through, meaning colour is integral to the material rather than applied as a surface paint. This improves durability and significantly extends maintenance cycles, removing the need for frequent repainting typically required every 3–5 years with conventional coatings.

The product is spray-applied, enabling fast installation with minimal disruption. Sills, pipework, and fixtures can typically remain in place, reducing labour time and site complexity. It is compatible with common substrates including masonry, cement renders, timber, and metal.
The product is fire-resistant, does not propagate flame, and does not emit toxic smoke, making it suitable for internal and external use within compliant system designs.

Sustainability
Cork is one of the most genuinely sustainable construction materials available, with a lifecycle that outperforms almost every synthetic alternative.
-
It is 100% Renewable and harvested without cutting trees.
-
It absorbs CO2 during regrowth after harvesting
-
The spray cork has a carbon negative footprint
-
Recyclable, Reusable & Biodegradable
-
Solvent-free, Low-VOC, non-toxic

SIPit-FR +Cork combination
-

-
After installation the panels continue to absorb CO2
-
High insulation values
-
Omits cold bridges
-
