SIPit‑FR is a structural insulated fire panel designed for high‑risk wall applications in residential buildings. It provides a fully tested REI 60/60/60 rating under BS EN 1365‑1, with fire resistance proven from both sides.
Where it’s used
Boundary walls close to site boundaries or neighbouring properties
Party walls between apartments or attached dwellings
Any wall requiring 60‑minute structural fire resistance
Key advantages
REI 60/60/60 performance in a single factory‑made panel
A1‑rated CMC facings for non‑combustible wall surfaces
Structural loadbearing capacity
Thermal insulation built in
Faster installation than multi‑layer fire‑rated build‑ups
Reduced risk of installation error and easier inspection
Why it matters
Boundary and party walls must prevent fire spread, maintain structural stability, and limit heat transfer for a full hour. SIPit‑FR delivers this without relying on multiple layers of plasterboard, mineral wool, or complex on‑site sequencing.
When boundary walls are difficult to build in close proximity to the neighbouring property the SIPit-FR is easier to install. In combination with the spray cork render there is no need for ventilated cavities, cavity barriers, fire rated membranes, battens and counter battens, or A1 rated cladding. The panel is installed with the cork render directly onto the external face eliminating the problems associated with boundary wall construction.
